Home.
Hi all. Sorry about the dearth of posts here this month. Been refueling after a job switch.
Not to worry. We'll hit the New Year runnin' with some pics of
For Pittsburgh, a permanent installation in the Iron City by one of Creative Time's faves, Jenny Holzer. That's where I'm heading for the holidays. Is there anywhere else to be? I think not. Andy beckons.
In the meantime, cheers.
Snow Caps.
I went out to Pratt tonight to see
Vanessa Bucci's fine
show. On the way in I was kind of lost, but on the way back out I ran into these sculptures that looked familiar. At first I couldn't figure out why. Then I remembered:
Yellow Bird.
I had seen
Phil Grausman's sculptures when Creative Council took a
field trip to
Polich Art Works to see the Jim Hodges sculpture in process. After the foundry visit we took a side trip Polich's Yellow Bird gallery in Newburgh where Grausman's sculptures and drawings had been installed. Anyway, here they were on the Pratt campus with snow on their heads. How could I resist? I couldn't.
