Sleepwalkers, Night 1
"Sleep. Sleep Tonight. And may your dreams be realized."-U2
Big ups to everybody who did the insane amount of work that this project must have required--from artist Doug Aitken to the Creative Time interns. Damn.
It paid off. I liked the garden the best. Jeff (aka The Building King) liked the parking lot walls better. We were both right, and I'm betting that it'll change each of the 12 billion times I plan on seeing it.
Goofy non-art-related moment of self-amusement for the night? Easy. It was cold. I was bumming that I hadn't seen any of my regular Creative Time pals outside (Wonder why?) to whisk me to the front of line for the opening party. Then I realized two things. Marilyn Minter was behind me and Heather Graham was in front of me. I could wait.
Better photos to follow, but for now . . .
